Mend Vauxhall Tigra Fine Problems

handbrake on vauxhall tigra?

I have a 1999 tigra, when i park it on flat surface everything fine no problems but when i park on my drive which is on a slope, when i let handbrake off it feels as though whole car shifts and loud noise, anyone else had this problem or know what it is, havnt noticed it when im driving when i have to stop on a hill, can a handbrake break?
