The above is fine but what if the key in barrel is just turning and the door is locked, how do you get to the screw to let the barrel loose? thanks

i had the same problem on my workshop, you need the key to give it a slight turn as the lock is offset, i did not have the key,
after undoing the retaining screw on the inner edge i gave the barrel a tap with the hammer and it came out, probably not the best way to do it but hey when youre angry you will try anything.

There should be a single retaining screw on the edge of the door about 2 cm below the level of the keyhole.
