Grandmother Clock ?

I have just had to move this Clock and on putting it back in it,s original position, it has stopped striking the Hours. It Chimes as it has always done but will not strike. I thank you for any advice your able to give me. W.W. Smith

hi, some grandmother clocks have separate bell hammers for the strike, some use the same hammers as the chime. if yours are separate make sure they are reaching the gongs, and haven't tilted backwards. Gently lift the hammers, whatever system you have, let them drop to make sure they are all reaching the gongs. It may sound silly, but make sure the strike side is wound up. Failing that let some knowledgeable person have a look.
