how do i reset my scantronic 9651 alarm?

Hi I have just changed the battery on my scant tonic 9651 and keypad 9930 but now it say lid tamper reset required and the red spanner is displayed I have input my code and it just keep saying reset required does anyone know what I need to do please thanks Dave

Ignore GTS answer, the Scantronic 9651 and other models are designed to bleep in a mains failure, If your battery was faulty the keypad would display this on the LCD display.
You need to enter the user code to stop this, but since you dont know it, the panel needs a first stage default, which is so easy to do, even you the customer can do with instruction over the phone.
This first stage de-fault will take the panel back to factory codes.

the standby battery in the end station is faulty,it needs replaced,but if you open the end station you will need the engineering code to reset the panel,the factory reset is 0 enter,7890,but the company who installed it may have changed the code
