Mend TomTom Go Working Green Light

My TomTom Go has stopped working?

My TomTom go has simply stopped working. When plugged into the car the green power light is on but nothing comes up on the screen and there is no sound either can you help please? The model of TomTom does not have cards but is pre set with England and Europe maps.
