you have to do as wickham has said then put belt on once tension is applied remove timing pin's & turn engine over slowly by hand,if you done this correctly it should turn freely (do not turn over by key)any contact with valve's remove belt & time it again as wickham has said

crankshaft timing pin down at the fuel filter,hole through to the flywheel,think it is 12.5mm,camshaft pin through hole in sprocket into block and fuel pump hole at 12 oclock with smallest pin
