Mend Casio MA-10 Problem Buttons Pressing

problem with a Casio Quartz MA-10?

This keeps perfect time, but the adjustment buttons at the back do not work. I tried pressing them with a ball point pen, as per instruction book - but to no avail. Casio tell me that they cannot access information as this model is 25 years old and the details are now archived.
Maybe they need to know how to access their archives
