handbrake adjustment on 06 ford mondeo?

I take it you have discs on this,make sure the levers on the calipers are travelling fully back onto their stops,and the h/brake cable adjustment is at the back of your centre console,think you remove the rear ash tray for access and a double depth 13mm socket should do the job
