what i wrote was: "i had to get a new starter benidix as the old one had seized. also had to replace a bush in the crankcase and all was fine for 2 days. now the bike wont start up. it turns over and compresion is comming from the exhaust it just wont fire up. i think it prob has nothing to do with the starter benidix been changed but i just thought id let you know the situation. any ideas anyone because im banging my head off the wall! thanks for any help or advice given."
adam answered: ok check for a spark at the plug first and then i would take the head and barrel off as these seem to suffer from pistons partially seizing you will ned to take the seat bucket out and also the exhaust off and fan cover."
my reply is: "ok adam, i checked for a spark and there isnt one, bought a new ht coil and spark plug and theres still no spark. So im guessing this means its either the cdi unit or the spark coil? (Think thats what its called) am i right or could it be something else adam? Cheers for the help."
the spare wire is just the aeriel wire for the old immobiliser just take it off from around the igntion or leave it if you like it wont hurt anything being there,thanks for my luck wishes with my business mate :D

nice one adam, i hope the new buisness goes well for you, and it was the cdi/imobiliser unit, replaced it wiv a non imobiliser cdi and its all up and running again. Just one question, what do i do wiv the spare wire that plugged into the old cdi/imobiliser? Cheers for your help mate, really appriciate it, and once again good luck wiv the motocycle shop.

ok sorry mate hadnt replied earlier i have just opened my own motorcycle shop and been really busy.its very likley to be the cdi/immobiliser unit that is fried on it these are very common to fail but b4 you change that just check the aeriel that fits over the ignition switch hasnt dropped off as it will not pickup a signal from the chip in the key if it has fallen off.it plugs into the cdi/immobiliser.if you need a new non chipped cdi unti(best type) then just buy one from electrex worl they have a site and it just plugs in and you have spark again !
