how can i fix the incline on a nordictrack 2300?

the treadmill goes to position 12 i have tried recalibrating the treadmill and also replaced the censor, took motor out to insure that there was no jam and put the screw back to position 1. then plugged the machine back in and lifted to position 12 and locked once again. please help
