cranks over but wont start?

guess you have fixed it by now ..but some info about the LF ..it doesn't have a stop solenoid valve..the alternator warning doesn't mean the alternator is U/S ..at a guess you probably had a broken wire at the front of the cab ,roughly where the loom flexis for tilting the cab...i can't remember off the top of my head ,but when the batteries are below 20volts,the engine ecu basically shuts down and you won't start ...though i still reckon you had a duff wire

As u sayd there is a alternator warning light appears this shows u have a low voltage to supply other sensor, as the stator motor consume 90% of the betry current, repair the alternator and check the charging system for a start.

could be stop solenoid on pump not working,check there is a feed to it when ignition is on. you can usually hear a faint click as ignition is turned on.
