Mend Vauxhall Vectra 2.2 DTI Car Middle Problem

car with a spanner in middle indicating[vectra 2.2 dti 2003]?

i keep getting this indicator which affects the performance of the car. what can be the problem? as some garages have no clue. I know it could be an electrical fault but how can i find what?

i got a vauxhall astra bertone and i had the light come on with the spanner in it did not get it check out now the car will not start and the light with the spanner in it flashs when i try to start it

egr valve often needs cleaning on these,but you will still need a code reader to clear any logged codes & turn off the light.
