I don't know the answer to your question but...

Old TV sets just had a coaxial aerial socket for signal input - modern TVs have multiple inputs - you will need to instruct the TV set (menu function on the set itself) which input source you wish to use.

On the computer you may have to select which output you wish the graphic picture to be sent to - which output.
