Servis Easilogic 1300 drying function?

Hello, I have a Servis Easilogic washer/dryer and despite the drying time control being set to zero, the drying function kicks in at the end of every wash (including the quickwash, making that cycle twice as long!). Is there anything else I should be doing to disable the drying function other than setting the control to zero. Incidentally the clothes don't come out dry as the drying cycle is about 40 mins or so, so presumably it's not even getting hot during that time and is running the final 30 cool minutes.
