Key fob not working Mercedes C200 2003?

Unfortunately these are a common problem, and this question seems to arise every month or two.

The best bet is to get the dealer to have a look at it using the error codes, or maybe call them to discuss...

I think the reason that you will not be able to start the car with the fobs is probably due to the fobs sending incorrect values for codes, and is out of sync.

I would avoid keeping these key fobs in your pockets especially near a mobile phone or anything magnetic, or your wallets.

Might seem strange that both remotes should fail at the same time but could be due to slightly cooler weather that will effect battery efficiency.
I would try replacing battery in one remote and see if it works.
