how are the brakes adjusted on rear engine murray app. 1992?
I have a rear engine Murray mower that I was told was a 1992. It is all belt drive (not chain and belt). I have repaired every thing but the brakes(I don't know how). The brakes are bad and the mower is for my daughter. The mower is a 30 inch cut. How do I fix the brakes?
YOUR BRAKES ARE SIMPLE. TAKE AND PUT IT IN NUTRAL SO U CAN ROLL IT BY HAND. NOW U HAVE 2 SMALL BRAKE PADS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE TRANS.( RIGHT SIDE STANDING AT REAR LOOKING AT SEAT.) THERE IS A SMALL BENT LEAVER ON THE RIGHT REAR SIDE OF THE TRANS. IT HAS A 1/2" NUT THAT U CAN'T MISS. TAKE A 1/2" WRENCH AN TIGHTEN IT UNTILL U CAN'T PUSH THE MOWER BY HAND ANYMORE. NOW BACK OFF THE NUT UNTILL IT STARTS TO ROLL AGAIN. AND U ARE SET. SOUNDS LIKE A LOT BUT IT'S NOT . GOOD LUCK
