You can find new belts in any city of any size. What's important is that the new belt is no narrower than the old one measured from the inside, and it has the same angle.
Open the back panel of the machine and loosen the adjustment bolt that the motor is usually fitted with. Take out the old belt, go to a belt shop and get a new one as similar to the old one as you can find. Fit the new belt back. tighten the adjustment bolt halfway. Take a hammer and a screwdriver. Use them to tap the bolt down until the belt is tight enough. give the drum a spin. the belt should allow the drum and the motor to spin freely. Wiggle the belt. it should give in a little, but there should be no slack. keep the drum still and pull the belt down. It should not slide in the groove it's fitted in.
If the belt is too tight, it will burn the bearings of the motor or risk electrical fire. if the belt is too loose, it will wear out quickly. So, if you're unsure, make it too loose rather than too tight.
Last, tighten the adjusment bolt properly.
