Mend Opel Vectra 2.0litre 16v Ecotec Idle Valve Engine

how do i clean my idle valve on my vectra 2.0litre 16v ecotec?

i am being told that the problem with my car cutting out is the idle valve. can anyone tell me how to clean it as advised and will the engine management system need to be reset/adjusted. any help would be gratefully received.

Or just replace it as they arn't a lot of money second hand.

take it off and fill it with wd 40 let it stand then put it back i had the same problem with mine and thats all i did and its fine now.....
