Mend Turning Buzzing Sound

My Saniflo Turboflush T11 Macerator?

My saniflo turboflush t11 macerator seems to be blocked. The motor is not turning but is obvioulsy trying to do so by the buzzing sound. Can I open the box up and clear it without damaging the system? (I realise it will be messy).

I have just fitted T11 into downstairs loo and have done so previously and always ok. Thay have last ten years!! But this time the motor keeps coming on intermittently and water disappearing slowly. Admitted when the room/shower was built they did not allow the full drop from the shower tray to the turboflush but it has never caused a significant problem before. I am wondering if the water I remaining too high and keeps triggering the motor? Do you have any advise? Thank you.

I have taken my T11 apart several times to remove blockages. I would suggest you DO NOT lift the motor until you have removed all the 'water' from the tank because ifthere is any left in it will flow out through the screw holes etc alongside the motot. With the loo away you can reach in through the hole and bale out the contents or use a sponge. Then remove the motor. A normal alan key will remove the screws on teh top.

Anyone any idea where to get a new rubber sleeve where the motor fits into? Thanks

I've taken mine apart, main job is to remove all the torx head screws from the top, the rest just comes apart.
You might not notice once the top is removed but the motor section sort of slides out as a sleeve from it's holder, it is under this that you will see the cutters (macerator, like heavy duty cheese graters) that dice & slice the waste before it is pumped away, chances are something has jammed in this and it can't turn, hence the buzzing noise.
If you use a very large flat bladed screwdriver at the top of the motor/cutters you will know if it is turning freely or not, personally I connected the power (with the unit empty of water) to make sure they were spinning before putting it back together, but I can only say that I did this and do suggest for one second that you try it or that it is safe (or clean if it has any water in, as it will pump it straight out of the top at high pressure).
Make sure you don't lose the non return valves when you put it back together and that the rubber locating ring at the top of the motor is back in and seated properly in the lid.
It is smelly, VERY smelly, and no matter how much you clean the unit it will still stink, and so will you. Make sure you have lots of disposable cloths, a bucket, a bowl, and there is a lot of hot water in your shower for afterwards.

yes you can fix. I have done this a few times on a T12
The outlet pipe should have a non return valve to stop any back spill. The motor just lifts from the unit.
Have bowls and newspapers ready!
Empty as much water out of the wc pan as you can as this will fill the unit when you take it apart.
Good luck!
