Mend Vax Turbo Force Belt Snapped Hoover

Why are there rubber shavings from the belt of my Turbo Force Vax?

The belt snapped on the Turbo Force Vax, I replaced the belt and whenever I hoover the belt sheds rubber shavings...any idea what's gone wrong and what I can do (if anything) to put it right?

i have one of these models check the brush bar where the belt fits on, Off hand i can't remember which side the collar lip should be on ,what happened in my case this collar had wore away allowing the belt to float and catch on the casing and chaff itself away .

compare a new brush bar to yours and see the difference
