Mend Lawn Mower Engine Throttle

why does my lawn mower only run for about 1 min then die?

why does my lawn mower only run a short period of time then die? when i start it the throttle is all the way up and it runs for a couple seconds then it dies

Check the fuel lines if they are perished , then thet could draw in air & thus messing up the fuel /air mixture.Also check the fuel filter/s. If it is petrol the plug could be breaking down & failing to spark , i would be inclined to change plug first.
