wide screen setup?

i asked a ? earlier about info on getting my curtis mathes 5222 pmk widescreen set up to see if it had a good picture. well so far no answer but i have hooked up my dvd player and it does have a good picture but no sound it is like it is muted cuz when i play around with the menu button sound comes on but pic. goes away and i still hadn't figured out to get my satelite set up on it yet either is there anybody that can help me?
