pop up waste not draining fully?

lift out the pop up waste they usaly come OK and make sure the stainer behind the chrome bit is clear

Sinks & baths etc. have a water trap to prevent smells coming up from the drain - sometimes called a U Bend.

Over time debris and fat and other stuff clog up the trap and it needs to be dismantled and cleaned so that the water can drain properly.

You may need to do this.
