Mend Canon LBP5100 Anyone Cause Please

Canon LBP5100 Can anyone identify the cause of this problem please?

This is a problem with a Canon ( i-Sensys LBP 5100) An orange flashing light indicates the machine is out of paper but the paper tray is full . I have turned it off defaulted and re-tried everything but still no joy.
