dont know how to unblock it, i have the same problem, but to get the DVD out, look underneath the player just below the DVD draw, and you will see a white paper membrane, pierce this, and it will reveal a plastic spiggot, move this all the way to the left with a small screwdriver, and hey presto your DVD drawer will open..............doesn't fix the blocked bit though, still working on that !!!
