Maintenance of beech wood kitchen worktops?

Has anyone an idea of what to use on a Beech hardwood kitchen worktop that dries hard and not tacky. I tried Danish Oil but that didnt ever seem to dry fully and has left surface tacky...
Went to b&q and they didnt know, yet they sell the worktops!!.
Hope you can help

If the surface is bare wood then I suggest Teak Oil - a mixture of Tung Oil - Boiled Linseed Oil and mineral spirits as a thinner.

Shop around for these oils - small volumes can be prohibitively expensive

I have used danish oil but I don't like the way it tends to sit on the surface of the wood - teak oil is quicker drying and soaks in well - good for outdoor furniture too - and my kitchen table and chopping boards.

Go to Amazon and see how much the costs vary by volume and manufacturer.

Good luck...
