dvd shows loading but wont show dvd?

If your dvd player plays music cd's and can still play them then you probably just need to recalibrate the player.
To do this, with the power OFF open the hatch where you put the dvd to play it. Locate the laser lens and notice the the laser lens is attached to an assembly that moves outward in a slot. Slide the assembly outward then back in (do not touch the lens) then repeat the motion and end with the assembly in near were the center of the dvd would be. Now play a music cd and let it play all the way through. This will recalibrate the laser head assembly movement. After the cd is done playing try a dvd and hopefully this has solved your problem.
