Mend Fitness Gear 820 Work Lights

fitness gear 820 treadmill turns on but won't work?

it beeps differently than before. the display lights up but there are dashes instead of zeros. i am unable to program anything and there are no other indicators lit on the display. i've unplugged/replugged, hit the reset button and no dice. any ideas?

under the plastic cover is the motor and wires. unplug the plug with 9 wires. colors are red yellow orange green grey white etc... on the front right side with the power on. unplug and plug it back in and it should work.
