fixing wing mirror kia carens?

my drivers wing mirror was knocked off one night, I am not up with the correct terminology so bear with me here! the wing mirror itself is fine, the wing mirror is attached to a triangle shape plastic fixing which is usually attached to the car, it has broken at this point. inside is a cement like structure, i need to glue this back onto the actual car (fingers crossed u know what i'm talking about!) i've tried araldite but this seems too brittle and with movement cracks, i have been driving it taped on for a year now and am fedup please can you help?
