Vauxhall Corsa Timing Chain is it covered by warranty?

Its entirely up to Scotsure, the policy wording and claims procedure will be in the policy book, I would read this from cover to cover, it will give you a list of the items covered and not covered, personally I would think so, but I would speak to the garage that sold you the warranty, this is a known fault with these engines ( I assume it is the 1.0litre 12 valve, although the 1.2litre 16valve engines are not immune to it) sometimes you can be lucky with these as it's only the oil jet between the camchain pulleys at the front of the engine that comes loose where the two bolts attatch to the head, this causes a reduction in oil pressure in the head and causes the chain to rattle, however most likely it is the chain tensioner that is at fault and as such the chain, tensioner, and guides will need to be done, quite an enjoyable wee job if you know what you're doing but you need cam locking tools, without them and the knowledge to use them don't be tempted it'll only end in tears.
