I have a 2003 Renault megane. I had a new battery put in therefore stereo needed to be unlocked afterwards. I have the code from the original service book but everytime i try to put it in it just bleeps at me and says error then i have to wait an age for it to go back to 0000.What am i doing wrong?

hi post the numbers/letters from below the main barcode
something like 7700xxxxxxtt123 or 8200xxxxxt123 or
the security code like Q123
