Panasonic Dimension 4 MW oven....dead?

I have just switched on my mw oven, it made an unusually loud humming sound for about 5 seconds then shut down. I have changed the fase on the plug...no change. Slight smell of burnt plastic ? Could it be an internal fuse ?
