When I try to disengage my blade the clutch arm will go down to about 1" from disengaging but gets stuck and will not let me disengage completely. What can I check to free-up this problem. After several attempts, it might disengage, but lately it won't.

look at your clutch cable. I had one stretch out and my blades wouldn't disengage. your tensioner pulley for your blades isn't shifting when you drop the lever. A new clutch cable is about $25.00. ebay is the cheapest supplier for these.
