im sure 12v has no thermostat ,240v does and gas does not,the gas has a completly seperate way off cooling,usually they will cool on gas or vise versa so check door seal.there an old fridge now so try turning it upside down for 24 hours then turn back and leave a further 24hours,this will often do the trick.i always found they were never brilliant on 240 or 12v,if that does not work try a thermostat
