Replacing capacitor white knight 767?

I have fixed it all for the price of £12.30 and a couple of hours work.

The capacitor is located below the motor attached to the base of the dryer.

Basically you have to take everything out including the drum. You can the see the capacitor and with a bit of fiddling squeeze your hand in and remove the old capacitor then its repeat the process in reverse.

My main tip would be to mark everything with a marker pen.

There was a great deal of satisfaction on turning the machine on and watching it spring to life.

Now to the washing machine.

They seldom mount them on the motor - often strapped to the side or back wall of the machine
Make a note / take pictures of the connections before dismantling

You can sometimes get a shock from a big capacitor even when the power is disconnected - short out the terminals with a screwdriver to discharge it.
