speedfighter will start but the back wheel wont turn when i rev the bike ?

iv sorted the bike out i had to take the magneto or flywheel what ever its called then take out the key way and move the magneto anti clock wise and the bike is fine now

hi adam me again right iv now gave up on that engine so iv now put a water cooled 50cc engine in that frame when i first put it in in started and reved up the back wheel turned great but it turned clock wise when standing on the kick start side of the bike but now it wont rev enough to turn the back wheel could this have anything to do with the stator coil plate behind the fly wheel or any other electrical problem its driving me mad now i got 3 speedfighters all in pieces now

hi mate ill have a look but i have had problems getting the bike going as i bought it as a non runner but found out the immobilizer was knackerd so i bought a bypass and the bike starts up and revs but thats it as i said ill have a look at that what you said cheers mate

are you sure the splines on the driven parts of the variator are not stripped and not engaging with the splines on the crankshaft.as this will cause this too and its a common problem if the nut has come loose before

so the wheel turns clockwise if your standing on the kickstart side of the bike when you rev it?

yeh if the bike is on its stand and you rev the bike the wheel starts to turn the opposit way it should but you can stop it with your hand.

hi the wheel only turns if you spin it with your hand the belt os ok and iv changed the clutch if i turn the shaft that goes to the back wheel the wheel will turn all i can think of is the bike wont tick over and is not revving up to full revs as it should may be the bike is not revving enough for the clutch to engage any ideas as im not that good with these mopeds im used to big bikes

only explanation if belt and clutch is ok is knackered gearbox shaft or intermediate gear

is the drive belt ok then ?other than that the drive box at the rear of the engine may have a worn gear but its not common and unlikeley also it would usually make a horrible grinding noise.does the rear wheel not spin at all if you rev the engine while the bike is on th stand?
