Does anyone know which colour on the side light wiring is positive, i've been given some small night vision LED lights which can be wired up to the side lights, the wire colours which go into the side light buld holder are ( 1 x black & 1 x blue & orange ), not sure which is positive or can it be anyone?.
Black is the earth, blue/orange is the +12v supply

I am not an expert in auto electrics or anything else but as far as I know ALL the wires that run to a light cluster are positive (when the switch is on) - the negative return path on cars is usually through the bodywork to save weight and the cost of wiring - although they use a lot of plastic in cars these days.
