Mend Kenetico Water Day Time

Water Softners?

I have a Kenetico water softner and it seems to regenerate every day, sometimes twice per day, for between 1-2 hours each time which uses a lot of block salt. Is this correct and if not can it be adjusted ?
there are 4 of us in the household.

I believe that there is adjustment to allow for hard / soft water variations.
From memory there are cam wheels(with numbers on) that can be put in different positions.
