Engine is slow to turn over even with fully charged battery, when and if it does start it wont run for longfrom a couple of mins up tp 20, have changed dielsel filtyer and fitted a re-coned lucas starter motor
thanks for the reply, have tried earth leads but will get the lift pump checked out

Slow cranking can be caused by bad earth connections between battery and engine, or damage to either battery lead, or bad connections. Check leads and clean all connections, particularly earths to chassis of machine.
When the engine dies, is it air locked? Check the lift pump.
