1995 nisan micra engine noise?

i have a 1995 nissan micra 1.3 auto and have just noticed a whistleing noise from the right hand side of the engine when the car is ticking over any help with this would be great.only recently bought the car its on 90,000 miles thanks......

Probably your auxilliary drivebelts need to be tightened up - if they are slipping it will make a high pitched noise.
