Mend High Speed Oil

car blows blue smoke?

after high speed cruising the car blows blue smoke on acceleration after slowing down
it does not use any oil as in 15k miles i have not had to top up
and the acceleration and top speed is bang on
but the smoke is a little disturbing has anybody any ideas???

probably just some oil that's collected in the breather system! try cleaning breather system, pipes, filters & any valves, etc...

Oil is getting by the rings and/or oil seals/valve guides. Usually a sign of neglect (too long a time left between engine oil and oil filter changes).
