Mend Mila Lock Door Position

mila lock on upvc door?

hi, my mila lock has given up on me in the locked position. the cylinder locks and unlocks but the handle will not disengage the hook locking system. it feels very notchy and makes a clicking/grinding noise. any ideas as to how i can open the door to get to my faulty lock would be greatly appreciated.
