Mend Paragon 508 Treadmill Fitness Repair

How can I fix my Paragon 508 treadmill?

The gradient is stuck on, and I cannot alter the gradient to bring it back to flat (or raise further). Any idea how I can fix this?
I have tried switching on and off repeatedly!
