what ya do is,take all of your remaining rope/string completely out.if the knot is still intact, remove it as well. Now, turn the pulley clockwise with a screwdriver at least three to four times until it wont go any farther.Do this gently,as not to break the coiled strap loose. If this happens, your done, take it to a pro.once youve turned c/clwse. youll need to clamp the pulley tight with vise grips,C-clamp,once secure, run a "new" string thru the metal grommet and secure it with a tight knot in the notch/hole on the pulley.Oh dont forget to tie the pull cord tight on the other end with the adjusted amount of string/rope .Once secure at both ends, gently release the clamp untill it pulls your new pull string tight. there you go, good luck!
