Mend Chimes Hour Clock

My cuckoo clocks chimes 13 times on the hour?

How can I regulate this situation? The clock chimes once on the half hour but goes the whole 13 times on the hour, every hour.

You do not give an age for your clock. The older ones had a count wheel (on the back) and if not properly adjusted you can get extra strikes on the hour. Newer ones (L/T 60 years old) have a rack system on the front which will have to be adjusted. The movement will have to be taken out and examined.
