I Have A JCB Backhoe 2003 model, which blows the fuse each time we select 2nd gear forward. We have replaced the gear selector assembly on the steering coloumn and one solenoid on the transmission but still the same. The auto electrician now says we should change another solenoid , but they dont sell them individually so we have to replace the whole control box and all solenoids ???? [ the previous solenoid replaced was 2nd hand and I can not find any more in Australia].The machine serial no:0938774

I have 4cx power shift transmission recently it not seclecting the third gear when driving forward but selects it to reverse, is also hesitating when the first gear is selected.

hi I have a 1987 jcb 1400b backhoe working great
going forward and back then all of sudden it won't go in revesre any ideas? thanks

if the solenoids are all the same number them and then shift them round and see if it blows the fuses in the other gears then you know its definatley the solenoids or then it will be a wiring fault

check the wire harness on top of the train cross member it common to rube through but look close its hard to see sometimes.also check the wires at the coil to make sure they have not rubbed toghether
