Assuming that condensation on windows is worst on really cold winter nights, the cause is excessive humidity in the air inside your home. You may be running a humidifier that is set too high (too humid) or may be doing a lot of cooking (boiling) during the day. If you do use a humidifier, turn it down a little on those really cold days/nights. If the moisture source is something else and not easy to adjust downward, you may need to run a dehumidifier. Assuming that air is free to flow from room to room, the humidity in distant rooms will readily migrate to the room where the dehumidifier is located and you won't need to bother trying to circulating the dryer (dehumidified) air.
