Mend Tricity Bendix Oven Electric Fault

top oven?

hi i have a tricity bendix electric cooker, the top when i switch it on the top oven comes on and will not go off even though the control knob is in the off position it stays on the light cycles on and off with the thermastat but will not go off do you know what can be causing it thanks paul.
