after an electrical outage my pro-scan tv no longer has sound. my service says it has nothing to do with the signal but problem w/tv itself. Seems inconceivable that both speakers would go at the same time. any suggestions?

Your question is in the Photocopier category - but no matter...

Your speakers are very probably perfect - there will almost definately be an electronic fault with the circuitry that process the sound signal before sending it to the speakers.

It is inconceivable that the signal into the TV set has had the sound component removed from it.

You have a broken TV set.
