Power supply Humming?

I bought a RCA Universal power adapter for a DVD but I am getting a humming in the playback. How do I solve the problem without buying another. A small concern but I want to take on the project .Ambitious. Euclan

Your power supply is humming because it has sub-standard filtering inside. You can either buy a better power supply, or build a filter. Maybe you could visit your local electronics parts house and ask them for a filter board. There may be something at Ramsey for you. Try here:
